Solutions and Strategies

Approach

In the Solutions and Strategies phase, the EXCELerator team partners with the district to create customized solutions and strategies to address the critical issues facing the district’s college readiness infrastructure identified during the District Diagnostic.  Delivery of Solutions and Strategies varies from district to district: from the development of a customized professional development program to an integrated strategic planning phase (illustrated here).

Analysis

The EXCELerator team works within the district’s needs and requirements to achieve the objectives for the Solutions and Strategies phase through one-on-one interviews, various small group meetings or a series of structured facilitated sessions. Identifying and analyzing appropriate solutions is highly collaborative; district input and feedback during this phase is vital to the development of successful — and sustainable — college readiness strategies.

Results

At the conclusion of the EXCELerator Solutions and Strategies phase, the district has a multiyear plan that defines actionable initiatives to address the district’s college readiness issues, is integrated with the district’s current strategic plan and defines a course of action to resolve key gaps prior to implementation.
